Laguna Niguel Stake President Blaine Evanson hosts a discussion on how the Newport Beach temple came to be with some of the people directly involved in the process, including (from left):

-John Dalton (former counselor to President Bentley, former president of the Placentia Stake as well as the Honolulu Hawaii Mission, and Area Seventy over the building of the temple)

-Joseph Bentley (former Newport Beach Temple President and former Newport Beach Stake President)

-Steve Samuelian (former bishop of the Laguna Beach ward and a member of the Newport Beach temple committee)

-Don Laws (former counselor in the Laguna Niguel stake presidency and chair of the Newport Beach temple committee).
