Living Faith discussion series

The Lord has instructed us to “seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.” (D&C 88:118.) Our stake Living Faith Discussions are designed to help us “learn the skills and attitudes necessary to distinguish between reliable information that will lift [us] up and the half-truths and incorrect interpretations of doctrine, history, and practices that will bring [us] down.” (M. Russell Ballard, “By Study and by Faith,” 2016.) “[L]earning doctrinal and historical content and context by study and by faith accompanied by pure testimony” will help us all “experience a mature and lasting conversion to the gospel and a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ.”

Throughout 2022, we will focus on the powerful themes of the Old Testament as we learn more about the covenants we make and keep, the history of temples, and the House of Israel. Your personal and family scripture study should be guided by personal revelation, but we hope these discussions will enrich your Come, Follow Me study of the Old Testament this year.
