Celebrating the Life of Patriarch Clawson

On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 18th, Patriarch Alvin George Clawson slipped from the bonds of this earthly life and into the arms of those he has “loved long since, and lost a while.” And while we unite in this deeply personal sorrow, we joyfully celebrate the goodness of one who loved us all so completely.

Patriarch Clawson served as bishop, stake president, temple sealer, temple president, and stake patriarch. He was known as charitable and Christlike. But the name he most surely would have us know him as is “friend”. We asked a few of those who worked alongside him, were influenced by him, received blessings from him, and felt his unique love to share a few words about our beloved Patriarch Clawson.
