Joshua Federico

“I remember when we were planning this huge Family Home Evening Potluck for weeks. Everyone was excited and inviting all their family and friends. When the day of the event came, a huge disaster hit, a 7.1 earthquake shook the city. After making sure all the missionaries were safe, we were told to visit and help all the people we were teaching or think of ways to help. We drove to all the Filipino members and non-members alike and visited with them and made sure they are okay. It took all day but the funny thing is when we visit them, they were more concerned about us and others. They asked us if we already visited other families and if they are safe. There is this network where they contact each other through messenger/text. And the people were devastated about the Family Home Evening being cancelled and was asking when would it be held. I felt the love and kindness everyone has for each other. I truly do love the people of Alaska and it was great serving them and the Lord.”
